Define Linux

Who would ever think that Linux operating system was created out of a student's hobby? Linux started out from the small UNIX system that eventually developed into Linux Kernel. Considered as the center of all Linux systems, the kernel is released and developed by GNU. Now, Linux is used by many people around the globe. Just so you know, Linux is now considered as one best alternative to Unix or Microsoft's operating system.
